There’s something special about the moment of discovery. Back in college, there was this little secret patch of grass and bushes, walled about with campus buildings. I liked to think of it as a Secret Garden, like from Frances Hodgkin Burnett’s famous book. This painting depicts my daughter’s own moment of discovery in a different Secret Garden years later. A place of wonder and discovery. 11 x 14 inches, oil on panel, unframed This is an original oil painting. The painting surface is a 3/4" deep wood-composite panel that's been coated with gesso prior to painting. It has a canvas texture on the front surface and an unfinished edge. Will require framing. The painting has been finished with an archival UV satin varnish to give it a "just painted" appearance and to ensure longevity.
