The Adilo suspension lamp from Secto Design feels like a more structured, architectural take on the brand’s familiar Scandinavian softness. Designed by Ilkka Kauppinen, it still ca rries that same focus on natural materials, but the form has a bit more tension and presence to it.It’s made in Finland from very thin birch plywood, carefully shaped and layered so the structure stays light rather than heavy. The spacing between the elements gives it a subtle rhythm, and depending on where you’re standing it almost shifts slightly in appearance. It’s precise work, but it doesn’t feel overworked or rigid, which keeps it easy to live with visually. It comes in two sizes, small or large, which makes it easier to scale depending on the space. In a home, it tends to work best over a dining table or in a simple, modern living area where you want something with presence but not bulk. It settles into a room rather than dominating it, and over time it becomes one of those pieces you notice more and more rather than all at once. Show more
