Insects are repelled, but not killed. Tedax temporarily alters the scent patterns of the skin and coat, making them less attractive to biting insects. Protection starts immediately after application.Tedax is unique in that this repellent is not only suitable for use on horses, but is also suitable for use on dogs or on yourself! In addition, Tedax does not smell unpleasant, but has a pleasant fresh scent. Tedax protects for up to 24 hours against mosquitoes, biting flies and stable flies and for up to 4 hours against ticks.Tedax works on the basis of the substance icaridin, also known as Saltidin®. This substance is a safer alternative to DEET because icaridin does not affect plastics, causes less irritation and is safe to use, while being at least as effective as DEET in repelling insects, even at lower dosages.Directions for use:Hold the spray can 10–15 cm from the skin during application while keeping the nozzle away from the face. Treat the skin with a slow sweeping motion. For application to the head: spray a small amount into the palm of the hand first and then spread over the head and neck. Protection starts immediately after application. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Due to health risks, apply the product no more than once per day on humans, horses and dogs.Note: factors such as temperature, humidity and sweating may affect effectiveness.
