Sedona Cohen Leaf Creature 2, 2025 Graphite on paper 12 x 8.7 in30.5 x 22 cm Includes original text written on typewriter:"Meet your current experience as it is. If there is discomfort, locate a place somewhere within the body that feels comforting, even if it’s found just in the tip of the pinky, and soften into that place. Do not try to move away from or fight discomfort, but rather bring your attention into the place of comfort and rest there. What is not needed, what is unnecessary, will fall away effortlessly. Nature teaches us to move with its rhythm." –Sedona CohenSedona Cohen (b. 1999, Detroit) recently moved from New York to Los Angeles. Her paintings, infused with mystical, alchemical undertones, were born from childhood experiences in Carbondale, CO and further enriched by the vibrant energy and lush hues of her beloved Costa Rica where she spent several years living in the coastal jungle. Sedona’s work is a space for rest, investigation, and healing—a visual alchemy of nature’s magic. Cohen holds a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
