The lilac breasted rollers are monogamous birds and their name ‘roller’ actually comes from the spectacular aerial displays the birds display during mating season. They are as fasc inating as their wildly colored feathers. Using the seedpods of the Ulumbu Tree (Sterculia rogersii), Zimbabwean artists have created these charming little birds.
