PRODUCT DETAILS Apache Scallion is a colourful and flavourful bunching onion that develops a striking purple base early in the season. If left to mature, the plants form vivid pink bulbs that can be harvested as attractive salad onions. The crisp texture and mild flavour make Apache an excellent choice for fresh eating, sandwiches, salads, and garnishes where its bright colour really stands out. For a continuous harvest, sow every three weeks from March through the end of July. With protection from a cloche or row cover, plants can also continue growing slowly through the winter. Apache has also been recognized with the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its strong garden performance.
