Grove - RGB LED Ring (20 - WS2813 Mini) is a compact, chainable full-color LED ring built with 20 programmable WS2813 Mini RGB LEDs. Each LED is individually addressable, supports 256 brightness levels per pixel, and refreshes at 2 kHz for smooth lighting effects. The WS2813 Mini integrates the control circuit and RGB chip into a 3535 package with constant-current drive, helping colors stay consistent when the supply voltage changes. Its break-point continuous transmission design improves fault tolerance, so a single LED fault does not stop the whole ring from operating. The ring uses the Grove connector for quick prototyping with Seeeduino, Arduino with a Base Shield, or other compatible controllers. Chainable pads on the back allow multiple rings, including different diameters from the same WS2813 Mini family, to be cascaded in one lighting setup. Features 20 addressable RGB LEDs: each WS2813 Mini LED can be programmed independently. Rich color control: supports 16,777,216 colors and 256 brightness levels. 2 kHz refresh frequency: suitable for smooth lighting patterns and animation effects. Break-point continuous transmission: keeps the remaining LEDs working when a single LED fault interrupts the signal path. Grove compatible: connects through a Grove cable without soldering for common Grove-based projects. Cascadable design: rear chainable pads support connecting multiple LED rings together. Applications Decorative RGB lighting, stage-costume lighting, light tubes, and module-based lighting effects. Interactive displays, indicator rings, visual feedback for sensors, and Arduino lighting projects. Yes. The ring uses 20 addressable WS2813 Mini LEDs, so each LED can be controlled individually in software. What voltage does it support? The official specification lists 3.3V / 5V power input. Can several rings be connected together? Yes. The rear chainable pads allow multiple Grove RGB LED rings, including different diameters from the WS2813 Mini family, to be cascaded. What does break-point continuous transmission mean? It is a fault-tolerant signal design that helps the remaining LEDs continue working when a single LED fault interrupts the signal path. Is soldering required for basic use? No. For normal Grove-based prototyping, the included Grove cable connects the ring to a Grove-compatible controller or Base Shield.
