Description The WM1302 LoRaWAN gateway module is a compact mini-PCIe concentrator for building EU868 LoRaWAN gateways, industrial edge nodes, and private LPWAN infrastructure. It combines the Semtech SX1302 baseband with an SX1250 radio front end and SX1262 support for Listen Before Talk, giving gateway designers high sensitivity, low power consumption, and a standard 52-pin integration format. This is the SPI interface version for the 863-870 MHz EU868 band. The LoRaWAN gateway module reaches -139 dBm sensitivity at 125 kHz/SF12 and up to 26 dBm transmit power from a 3.3 V supply. Its U.FL antenna connector, wide -40 to 85 C operating range, and compact 30 x 50.95 mm dimensions suit both prototypes and production gateway hardware. Features Semtech SX1302 baseband architecture with SX1250 TX/RX front end. SPI host interface for direct embedded gateway integration. EU868 operation across 863-870 MHz. Sensitivity down to -139 dBm at 125 kHz/SF12. Transmit power up to 26 dBm with a 3.3 V supply. Mini-PCIe form factor with a standard 52-pin golden finger. Listen Before Talk support through the SX1262 path. U.FL antenna connector and four status LEDs. Product List 1 x WM1302 gateway module, SPI EU868 version with SX1262 Other Content Hardware Overview The hardware diagram identifies the SX1302 gateway baseband, radio front end, SPI connection, power path, status indicators, and antenna connection used by the LoRaWAN gateway module. Pinout Dimensions Interface guidance: The SPI version is the mainstream interface option. The USB version uses different hardware and requires firmware adjustments; those USB-specific changes do not apply to this SPI EU868 version. Resources WM1302 setup, pinout, and integration guide Semtech SX1302 datasheet Semtech SX1302 HAL and packet forwarder repository WM1302 SPI EU868 CE certificate PDF FAQ Which regional band does this version use? This version operates in the EU868 band from 863 to 870 MHz. How does the module connect to a host? The WM1302 LoRaWAN gateway module uses SPI and I2C signals through its 52-pin mini-PCIe edge connector. A compatible carrier or Pi HAT is required for host integration. Is an antenna included? The verified package list contains the gateway module. Select a compatible EU868 antenna with a U.FL connection separately when the host design does not already provide one. What software can be used for gateway development? The SX1302 HAL repository provides the gateway library and packet forwarder used in the setup guide.
