The selenite tumble has a compact hand-sized shape, with soft bands, shallow natural marks and clearer patches visible across it. The tumble is listed at approximately 5cm, allowing for small differences around a natural stone edge.Useful details Material: Selenite Colour: White Approximate size: 5cm Finish: Rounded tumbled surface A settled position on a bedside shelf suits the hand-sized stone because coins and keys remain away from the polished face. To move the selenite tumble, lift it clear of the surface so it does not knock against a harder ornament. The selenite tumble works best in a cabinet or lined tray away from harder objects where its natural markings remain easy to see. With the tumble, do not carry the stone loose with keys or coins; the polished stone can scratch or chip more easily than harder objects.About the natural stone: Because each piece begins with a different section of natural selenite, the direction of fibres across the polished face will vary from piece to piece. On the selenite tumble, the bands may be broad in one area and fine in another, rather than forming a perfectly even surface.A little care: Ordinary dust on the tumble can be managed if you turn the piece gently instead of sliding it across the cloth; do not use toothpaste, oil or furniture polish on the surface. A dry, separate position is best, so keep the tumble over a soft lining rather than hard ceramic and check the surface underneath before setting it down.
