The JBL / Selenium D220TI-8R OMF is a high quality Compression Driver that includes a dome diaphragm in pure titanium that offers high efficiency and low distortion over the medium and high frequency bands. It can be used in studio monitors, stage boxes and sound reinforcement in small rooms, where a high performance is required. To avoid stress and distortion the suspension has a special design. An injected phase plug optimizes undesirable phase cancellations and the magnetic assembly is optimized by using FEA (finite element analysis). The voice coil is made of high temperature wire wound on kapton former to withstand high operating temperatures and the moving assembly has a perfect auto centering characteristic that turns replacement into an easy task. The D220TI-8R OMF connects to a horn by using a bolt system.
