Application: celery powder mixture helps with acidification of the body and increased uric acid content. Take every day for breakfast 1 teaspoon mixed with food. Best eaten with qu ince jam. Saint Hildegard says: „One who is tortured by gicht that his face is twisted by contraction and his limbs tremble, and he is even contracted in other parts of his body, should pulverize celery seed. He should add to it a third part rue, and nutmeg (less than there is of rue powder), cloves (less than nutmeg), and saxifrage (less than cloves) and reduce all this to a powder. He should eat this powder with or without food and the gicht will cease, since this is the best remedy against it. If anyone tortured by gicht eats this powder frequently, the gicht will flee from him, without doing any damage”.
