The tapered coude tip carries a Guide Stripe that shows the direction the tip is facing, which helps with placement as the catheter is passed. It is used for intermittent self-catheterisation. The catheter is 100% latex-free. It has fire-polished eyelets and a siliconised surface designed to make insertion smoother, and a funnel end for connecting to a drainage bag or directing flow.
