Our Self-Heal Bar is made using a traditional method of salting out the soap and then incorporating additives that make this bar truly unique! The official name for the plant (or weed) known as Self-Heal or Heal-All is Prunella Vulgaris (which just means common). We have spent years looking for it and finally found it on the side of the road in a small town in Switzerland! Then we discovered a plentiful patch that reappears every summer right around the corner at Inwood Hill Park! FYI only: it is used in traditional and modern herbalism; often made as a simple tea. It is valued for its anti-inflamiaory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties. Traditionally used to heal wounds, soothe sore throats, and reduce skin irritations.
