The design of the Sendai Bookshelf is inspired by the iconic Sendai media centre in Japan, also designed by Toyo Ito. This version of the Sendai Bookshelf is composed of six aluminium veneered shelves connected to each other via a sinuous structure made in solid wood, with each shelf being at a different distance from the other in height. The end result is beautifully sleek and organic at the same time.
