In the heart of many of Mexico’s most iconic towns, the streets are paved not just with stone, but with history. For centuries, volcanic rock was the material of choice in these regions, not only because of its strength and durability, but because of its abundance and deep connection to the land. These hand-carved adoquines of lava stone shaped the identity of entire cities, their quiet geometry guiding the flow of rain, horses, people, and time itself. By reinterpreting the traditional volcanic paving stone into a refined architectural surface, this design captures the spirit of Mexican heritage and translates it into a bold, contemporary language.
