When the water level decreases and allows the switch to drop within 0.25" (± 0.10") of the horizontal position, the reed contacts are joined together to trigger a closed-circuit signal. When the water level increases and pushes the switch to rise within 0.50" (± 0.10") of the horizontal position, the reed contacts are separated to trigger an open-circuit signal.The switch is intended for Normally Closed operation, but can be used for Normally Open operation simply by rotating it. You also have the option of using two switches in one tank to monitor for different water levels.
