This is NOT a plant that can be completely submerged in water. This plant needs to have the roots submerged with the rest of the plant floating along the surface. It's best for Pon ds, Paludariums, and/or other similar setups. Additionally, it can be placed in a hang on back filter. This is a species that is similar but meant for the aquatic environment. The reason this plant is so awesome is its leaves react when they are touched and they fold up. Its truly an amazing plant and is quiet popular with kids when you show them it. While it shouldn't be completely submerged in water the roots and bottom of the stem can be, so get creative! This is an annual plant, and has the possibilities to die out going into winter, depending on the conditions its kept in. Most plants are sold as trimmings from rooted plants unless otherwise stated.
