A low wooden stool with a generous round seat and three tapered legs, ready to pull up beside a lounge chair or hold a plant and a book. The Sergio stool takes its cue from the Mocho, the first major piece by Brazilian designer Sérgio Rodrigues. It is made from solid Guajuvira Brazilian wood, so every seat shows its own grain, tone and small natural marks. The top is thick and smoothly finished with a soft sheen; the three splayed legs are turned and slightly bulbous toward the foot, giving the piece a grounded, mid-century silhouette without fuss. Use it as occasional seating in a living room, a compact side table next to an armchair, or a sculptural perch in a hallway. The dark, warm timber sits comfortably with pale upholstery, vertical wood panelling and other solid-wood furniture. Because each Guajuvira piece differs, the stool you receive will have its own character within the same form.
