size 2” Described in 1875 by Austrian naturalist Anton Ausserer. These incredible terrestrial spiders can be found along the road bangs through out Panama. Large spiders that can r each 7 inches. The males of this genus lack tibial spurs, making them easy to differentiate from other “red rump” spiders.
