A Year-Long Immersion presenting 15 classes which delve into the Wisdom and Power of the Serpent*Begins March 14th* Winding throughout history, myth, and sorcery, the serpent has long been an undulous sigil of transformation, forbidden knowledge, and primeval power. From the ouroboros devouring its own tail in endless renewal, to the Rainbow Serpent weaving creation through sky and earth, to the chthonic serpent gnawing at the roots of the world-tree, the ophidian current coils round the heart of the world's religious and esoteric traditions, offering its wisdom to those enticed and ensnared by a serpentine stare. The Serpentine Path is a year-long initiation for witches, magicians, and seekers drawn to the luminous and shadowed mysteries of the serpent. This course first offers six foundational classes taught by Matthew Venus, each uncoiling a distinct manifestation of serpentine power such as creation, the terrestrial, the supernal, the infernal, the brazen serpent, and the apocalyptic serpent. These classes entwine history, art, mythology, folklore, and biology and are interwoven with practical meditative, ritual, and devotional practices designed to enrich your magical practices with serpentine spirits and medicine. To further illuminate this winding path, a series of nine additional guest lectures will summon forth further expressions of the serpent’s manifold mysteries: J.M. Hamade presents upon celestial serpents, dragon gods, and eclipses. Sasha Ravitch charts the serpent’s path through cosmic horror and posthuman witchcraft. Lee Morgan explores the transformational power of serpent deities. Dr. Al Cummins shares tales of cunning lore and serpent spirits in British magic. Katarina Pejovic conjures forth the draconic currents of Balkan folk traditions. Nick Dickinson & Jacqui Allouise guide seekers in forging relationships with serpentine spirits of place. Jesse Hathaway Diaz through three separate presentations unveils the serpent’s role in Mesoamerican mythology, Brazilian Macumba, and stellar aspects of Traditional Witchcraft. All classes will be livestreamed and recorded, allowing students to delve deeper into these mysteries at their own pace.
