It results in a hugely sensuous wor k of experimental beat making, R&B and neo soul that bares its heart on its sleeve. The album bares the hallmarks of someone raised by religious parents in Baltimore, with its moments of churchy architecture and gospel vocals, but is also a thoroughly contemporary record with proper songs about love and relationships.
