We asked a room of woodworkers, "Who likes measuring and drilling for pull handles to attach to their charcuterie boards and trays?". It was crickets. It's as if we told a bad joke. The reality is no one likes measuring twice (or three or four times) and trying to guarantee center placement of their charcuterie board handles. That's why we developed the Crafted Elements Serving Board Pull Handle Drilling Jig. A long name for a simple time saving device. This jig contains oversized 3/16" holes at offsets from 1", 1.5" and 2.0" from the side of your board, at spreads of 96mm, 128mm and 3.0" to cover the vast majority of "pull style handles" that are often mounted to serving boards. In just mere seconds you can drill (or mark) the exact drill hole locations to mount handles on your serving boards without the guesswork, multiple lines and multiple measurements like before. Simply mark center on the top or side of your board, place the jig to line it up with the center mark, which you can see through one of the two open channels in the jig. Get your 3/16" drill bit out and drill two holes. The hole locations in the jig you choose are based on the hole pattern of the handle you are using (96mm, 128mm or 3" spread center to center), as well as the offset from the side of your board (1", 1.5" or 2").
