Like most aspects of life, I'm not always certain what waits around the corner, I don't know what the seeds I'm planting today will grow. Sometimes, the best practice is the trust the process. Surrender to it. It could result in something far bigger, more vast than you could have ever imagined. I see the rolling hills and the sun illuminating the trees, and feel a little light of hope in my chest. It has been accented with copper leaf and fully sealed with a UV-resistant, satin (almost matte) varnish to ensure the integrity of the artwork, wood and gilding. The copper leaf has been purposely oxidized in some areas; it's protected by the varnish however it might evolve over time, which will add to its beauty. Installed on the back of the artwork are two flush-mount keyhole hooks, making the piece very easy to hang up on your wall, along with a hand-burned signature and title.
