Sewcials give you time and a place to join other "Sewcialites" for free-time sewing in our air-conditioned (and heated) workroom. With 2 ironing stations and your own 8-foot table, you'll have room to spread out. All sessions run from 10 am to 4 pm*. The price for each day is $9.50 plus tax. Participants can register by paying in full at the store or via telephone with a credit card (Visa or Mastercard). Use of our kitchen is complimentary. We have a fridge, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery and dinnerware which you may use. A compost bin is also provided in the kitchen for compostable items. Please bring your own extension cords or power bars. There are 2 dry irons and ironing surfaces available. (If steam irons are desired, please provide your own.) If fusing is part of your project, please bring covers to protect the ironing surfaces Sewing supplies and machines are not provided. All walls in the workroom are "design friendly", allowing you to pin up your project and view it from a distance. This is time and space for you to work on your own projects without staff instruction or tutoring. If you are booked for multiple consecutive days, you may leave your belongings and machine overnight, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage. Your items are insured with your personal property insurance. There are 10 tables in the workroom, so enrollment is limited to 10 people per day. Tables cannot be "split" in order that two people or more can share one registration free, or in order to allow more participants. Each person pays the full registration free, and is entitled to their own table. Only one person per table per registration. Tables cannot be booked for half-days. There are no holds on spots without payment. Sewcials do not require minimum registration numbers in order to run. Therefore, they will not be cancelled, unless there are extenuating circumstances in which Along Came Quilting must do so. Once you have purchased your spot, you own it. So please make sure you can come before you pay. No refunds or transfers to another date or class will be given regardless of the reason or the amount of notice time provided. However, we always appreciate the notification. Please feel free to send a friend in your place. In fairness to our staff and teachers, we would appreciate that you not teach any of our regular classes to your friends in a Sewcial. *The doors are unlocked at 10 am for entrance. You may stay until 4:45 Monday-Friday as the store is open until 5 pm, unless there is an evening booking in which case you will need to leave by 4 pm. We do ask that you leave by 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday as we close then, and the staff need to go home on time.
