While simple rectangles are the building blocks of this pattern, once constructed, the results are anything but simple. The pattern has two neckline options: a straight slit neckline (View A) and a square neckline with two depth variations (Views B and C). There are three waist variations: a shirred waist (View A), elastic waist (View B), and basic straight hem (View C). The pattern also includes three sleeve styles: sleeveless (Views A and B), an elbow length sleeve (View C), and long sleeve with an elastic cuff (View C). The designer has put together three views, but you can mix and match all the elements to create your own version! For a soft and drapey top, use rayon, viscose, tencel, or lightweight linen blends. For seasonal warmth, choose jacquard, lightweight wool, or wool blends. You might also consider washed linen, double gauze, cotton voile, and seersucker.
