This is one of the oldest cue tools around. For nearly a hundred years, players have used a shaft slicker to clean and sand their shafts. Shaft slickers hold a lightly-abrasive pad (much like a Scotch-Brite pad) inside a canvas-like tube, providing a non-damaging abrasive to clean and smooth your shaft.
