Shan Fish Biryani Mix is formulated specifically for making fish biryani -- a layered rice dish where seasoned fish pieces are cooked with basmati rice, fried onions, and a careful balance of whole and ground spices. This fish biryani masala produces a lighter, more delicate biryani compared to meat versions, with the fish absorbing the saffron-tinged, aromatic spice blend beautifully. Shan has been a trusted name in South Asian kitchens for decades, known for delivering restaurant-quality flavour from a single packet. This fish spice mix contains all the ground spices you need, pre-measured and balanced. The packet includes straightforward cooking instructions so you can focus on technique rather than spice ratios. Use firm-fleshed fish fillets like snapper, barramundi, or kingfish for best results -- they hold their shape during the layering and steaming process. Lightly fry the fish pieces before layering them with par-boiled rice, fried onions, and a splash of saffron milk. Seal the pot tightly and cook on low heat to let the steam finish the job. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Unopened packets keep their full potency until the printed expiry date. Shan Fish Biryani Mix is available from Hills Harvest alongside other indian spices online australia -- halal grocery delivery across The Hills Shire, Blacktown, Parramatta, and Hawkesbury.
