Shanat holds a BA in Foreign Languages Teaching from the University Pedagogical and Technological of Colombia and a Master’s in Letters and Arts from Sorbonne Nouvelle and Paris Diderot. Shee is DALF and TEFL certified and serves as a DELE examiner. With fourteen years of experience teaching online and in person, Shanat teaches Spanish, French, and English to learners from early grades through college and to caregivers. She draws on international experience and a conversational, cultural approach to move students beyond memorizing rules toward actually thinking and speaking in the language. She designs interactive lessons that combine conversation, cultural insight, and practice, and prioritizes creating a safe space for questions, mistakes, and real risk-taking in communication. Shanat has experience supporting learners with ADHD and training teachers in inclusive techniques. Families appreciate her clear explanations, patient coaching, and knack for making language learning practical and confidence-building. Outside of teaching, she enjoys singing, writing, reading, cycling, and exploring food and film.
