When the Shanling EA5 integrated amplifier was being developed, the idea of having matching speakers to complement it came to mind. The goal was to create something smaller, yet demanding enough to deliver a satisfying experience, perfect for desktop setups or smaller rooms. After a year of prototyping and testing with the EA5, the JET1 speakers were born. Shanling has a history of working with speakers, including the well-known S2 bookshelf speakers and high-end Hi-Fi speakers under sub-brands. This experience was invaluable in the development of the JET1 speakers. The JET1 is a two-way rear-ported design, featuring a 4.5-inch woofer and an AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter. The tuning focuses on achieving a neutral and lively sound, with a smooth midrange and clean treble. These speakers perfectly match the Shanling EA5 Music Centre and offer the signature sound of the system.
