Shanxi, circa 1900 This highly unusual Chinese antique table is from Shanxi province. Once in much deeper colours, with the central decorative supports in vibrant red, the finish h as faded and worn to give a lovely patina. The front legs and frame are decorated with a scrolling pattern popular during China's Qing dynasty and that is reminiscent of western art deco design.
