The DSLR Kirk Neff Rig from SHAPE is a 15 mm rod, shoulder-mount solution designed for DSLR or other compact cameras. Centered around the DSLR Kirk Neff Baseplate 2.0, the bundle features a pair of 18″ long 15 mm rods that supports the included Quick Handle Rod Bloc and Mini Composite Shoulder Pad with Back Pad. You can also expand your rig with the addition of optional accessories such as a matte box and follow focus. The shoulder pad and handgrips can be removed for mounting the rig onto a tripod. Your camera attaches to the baseplate via a V-lock quick-release camera plate. The plate is also compatible with third party support systems that utilize the V-lock interface. The baseplate provides clamps to support one of the 15 mm rod pairs, allowing you to the dual handgrips in front of the baseplate, as well as the rod offset bracket behind it.DSLR Kirk Neff baseplate 2.0 (DSLRKNBPLT2.0)The DSLR Kirk Neff Baseplate 2.0 from SHAPE is a 15 mm rod baseplate designed for DSLR cameras that utilizes a standard V-lock quick-release system. The quick-release plate provides a 1/4″-20 threaded camera screw and has rubber stoppers at the back to prevent your camera from twisting during operation. The rubber stoppers can be adjusted and removed using the included hex key. For alignment and balance adjustments, the V-lock delta adapter on the bottom of the quick-release plate can be also adjusted forward/backward, and the camera screw can be placed in a front or rear position – using appropriate hex keys. The baseplate itself features two 15 mm rod ports with thumbscrews. It’s design places the optical center of camera between the two rods and places the lens at a height suitable for use with a matte box. A pair of 8″ aluminum rods come included.Delta adapter (DELTA)Quick release adaptor plate built with superior quality material; The V SHAPE is compatible with the Quick Release Marbel. You can attach the handle to the camera platform using a simple screw knob. A simple Push-Button located at the articulation allows easy attachment and removal. Combined with the anodized aluminum rod bloc, the quick handle offers composite camera support for all 15 mm rods. You can achieve precise positioning by sliding the Quick Handle along the rods and tightening the small red knob located on the Rod Bloc. Push, adjust, release, and then its lock.Composite mini shoulder pad (SHPAD3)The SHAPE mini composite shoulder pad is padded for superior comfort and is made of slip-free material. It is designed with a 15 mm rod block on top allowing to hold 15 mm rods for camera and accessories to be attached. The screw knob allows to attach SHAPE counter-weight (PAD1, PADCW1). By adding extra male-female rods at the back, you can also attach a counter-weight behind the same rods. This way, your body can easily supports the weight of the camera and its accessories. The shoulder pad is also the perfect solution for switching rapidly from shoulder to tripod without having to remove the shoulder pad. It can remain on the camera rig permanently.Back pad (PAD1)The back pad (PAD1) features a powder coated anodized aluminum plate and arm which are attached to a thick padding on the side facing the user. It is compatible with the SHAPE Mini Composite Shoulder Pad (SHPAD3, SHPAD2, SHPAD1) and can be attach or remove easily from your rig via a 1/4-20 camera screw knob. Additionally, the back pad’s position can be adjusted to the user’s preference – up to 2″ vertically and 360° horizontally.
