The Shapton Sharpening Pond solves this by providing a self-contained water tray that holds the Shapton Stone Holder securely and catches everything produced during the session. The 3.4kg rubber-cased base stays in place without sliding, the two layers of tempered glass sides contain the water cleanly, and the collected swarf can be used with a microfibre cloth to help polish the blade after sharpening. How to Use: Place the Shapton Stone Holder inside the Pond. Fill with enough water to wet the stone. Sharpen as normal — the Pond contains all water and swarf. Rinse the Pond after use.
