Niwaki Sharpening Stone is a compact Japanese whetstone specially designed for secateurs, while also working brilliantly on shears, topiary clippers and other sharp garden tools. The bottom of the stone is slightly concave, helping it follow the curved cutting blade of secateurs for controlled, accurate sharpening. The flat face is ideal for straight-bladed shears and topiary clippers, as well as removing the burr from the reverse side of the blade after sharpening. Available in two grits: #1000 grit is the most useful option for regular sharpening and everyday tool maintenance, while #3000 grit is super fine, making it ideal for honing, polishing and detailed finishing work. Soak the stone in water for a few minutes before use, and keep it wet while sharpening. After sharpening, clean and dry your tools, then protect the blade with Camellia Oil. For dirty or rusty blades, clean first with Niwaki Clean Mate. Available in #1000 and #3000 grits #1000: fine grit for regular sharpening #3000: super fine grit for honing and detailed work Slightly concave underside for curved secateur blades Flat face for shears, topiary clippers and removing burrs Size: 131 × 20 × 23mm Weight: 136g Made in Osaka, Japan Discover more Niwaki tools.
