TransGo SHIFT KIT for 6F50 Transmissions The TransGo 6F50 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit is tailored for 2007 and newer Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles equipped with the 6F50 and 6F55 automatic transmissions. Users of these transmissions frequently report issues such as erratic shifting, TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) slip, and various gear ratio error codes. These issues are commonly attributed to wear in the solenoid pressure regulator valve bore, which is designed to control the pressure directed to the solenoids. The spring within this valve is precisely calibrated to cap the solenoid feed pressure, ensuring it does not exceed a set PSI regardless of the main line pressure. This calibration is crucial to prevent overfeeding the solenoids with fluid, which could lead to excessively high or low output pressures, resulting in shift quality complaints and error codes. Wear in the TCC regulator valve bore and the pressure regulator (PR) valve and bore are also contributing factors to these problems.
