Adjustable Shift Rod Linkage for Manual Transmission Cayman/Boxster 986/987, 718, & 981 A majority of Porsches' have 10mm ball joints as the standard option. However, early model B oxsters' have one 10mm ball end and an 8mm ball end. Please confirm sizing before ordering. Just like the Stock Cables are prone to breaking, so are the Shift Rod Links. The stock Shift Rods are made up of rubber bushings which result in slop in the shifting and the frequent popping off/breaking. So we eliminated all of the plastic and rubber and used our Metal Rod End for direct and precise engagement. The rod is held on by a metal retainer clip to ensure it will never pop off leaving you stranded. This is an easy install and a direct replacement that makes a huge difference! Show more
