Shiitake Mushrooms Growing InstructionsWhat we need1. Shiitake log: weight 1. 30-1. 50kg, long 40cm, it is consist of sawdust, rice bran and spawn.2. Light: avoid sunlight, indoor nature light is fine.3. Temperature: 16-22 degree range.4. Humidity: 80-90%.5. place: ventilation.6. A bucket: big enough which the shiitake mushroom log grows inside.7. A towel.Step1Please ensure that you read through these instructions thoroughly before beginning your mushroom growing.Step2A bathroom or laundry is a great spot to grow shiitake. Shiitake mushroom will grow best where the humidity level is very high.Step3Remove all plastic packing from your shiitake mushroom log and discard (if it has)Step4Place the shitake log in a bucket, spray clean water with a spray bottle on them.Step5Use a wet towel cover 4/5 of bucket top. This will help to increase the humidity inside the bucket.Step6It takes 5-10 days to grow up.Step7Spray water 1-2 times on shitake logs dairy and keep towel wet all the time.Step8Harvest1. Pick up the shitake which size 4cm-10cm or even bigger, clean the shiitake log surface.2. Cut off stem, leave stem 1. 5cm long.Step9Leave the shiitake log out of bucket without watering for around 2 weeks, this will give the log a rest and gather more nutrients for regrowing.Step10Place the shiitake log into the bucket and put in water and submerge for 24 hours for next flush.Step11Each shiitake log has the potential to produce up to 400g of fresh shiitake mushroom. It will grow in 2-3 flushes over a period of 8-10 weeks.Step12Repeat step4 to step10.
