The Shimano Steps chainring is a direct replacement part for the Shimano Steps FC-E6000 ebike drive units. Chainring Removal: To remove and install the chainring is easy with the right tools and following these simple steps: Perform replacement with the chain installed to the rear wheel. Remove the crank arm cap, then remove the crank mounting bolt with a 14 mm socket wrench. After that, remove the right side crank using the Shimano Steps Crank Arm Extractor removal tool. While holding the wheel, use the Shimano Steps O Ring Chainring Tool and the Shimano Steps bottom bracket tool to loosen the lock ring in the clockwise direction. Once loose simply remove the chainring and replace with a new original Steps chainring.
