Packed with premium technology and borrowing features from top-tier Shimano spinning reels, Shimano Ultegra FD Spinning Reels provide the power, smoothness, and dependability that fresh and saltwater anglers need without breaking the bank. Utilizing SilentDrive and precision MicroModule II gears for an ultra-refined reeling experience, the performance of the Ultegra FD is further boosted by InfinityXross, which widens the contact between the drive and pinion gears for better life, and InfinityDrive, a feature that includes a special main shaft supported by a new bushing for less friction and more power. Operating on corrosion-resistant S A-RB ball bearings and equipped with X-Protect for directing water away from key internal parts, the Ultegra FD also sports the flexible polymer Anti-Twist Fin below the line roller for more consistent line tension and improved winding onto the spool. When a fish is hooked up, the durable Cross Carbon Drag provides smooth and consistent pressure with a wide range of settings and has the power to put the brakes on hot fish. Whether chasing snook or smallmouth, Shimano Ultegra FD Spinning Reels are perfect for any angler hunting for an incredible performance value.
