Monstera dubia, Raphidophora hayi, and Raphidophora cryptantha are shingling plants that grow up tree trunks in their natural environment. They requires high humidity and bright in direct light to thrive. Their leaves will become larger as the plant grows, provided it is given a support pole to climb.
