Brass Shoe Horn

A wonderful example of a solid brass shoe horn from Georgian England (1714-1830). This type of design was referred to as the 'pigs tail' shoe horn, for obvious reasons. This one is particularly curly though, and a quite handsome example. The handle allows the horn to be hung close to the door, reducing the risk of it going astray. It is very sturdy, and robust, and will stand up to the stiffest of shoes or boot, hence why it has remained in such wonderful condition after two hundred years of being put to the test! Show more
