Northern Whispers: Shomal Botanicae The house Botanicae Expressions portrays Shomal as a fragrant postcard from the northern regions of Iran. «Shomal» means «north» in Persian. The fragrance transports you to the picturesque village of Masuleh, nestled high in the Elburz Mountains, where the scent of verdant terraces, and tea traditions mingles with the crisp mountain air. The top notes of mandarin, hyacinth, and green tea evoke the freshness of the mountain breeze. The base notes of amber, vanilla, and musk suggest the cozy warmth of shared tea in traditional homes during the twilight hours. Olfactory Notes The fragrance begins with a crisp burst of mandarin, followed by the soft, green, and powdery whisper of hyacinth. As the fragrance develops, iris emerges with a quiet poise, the light floral clarity of jasmine breathes through, and patchouli adds a subtle textured depth. This phase feels like a gentle stroll through an ancient village, where stone houses and gardens are shaded by trees. In the dry-down, warm amber and creamy vanilla blend with soft musk, creating a cozy evening glow. It lingers like the warmth of a hearth after dusk, quiet, comfortable, and deeply intimate.
