ABOUT Rachael Leahcar, 2nd runner up of The Voice, released her album 'Shooting Star' on the 13th of July 2012. This CD features 10 songs - 7 classic covers which she performed on The Voice and 3 additional tracks she recorded post the show ending, including the beautiful COMING HOME AGAIN which would have been her winners single. Rachael started singing lessons at the age of nine and spent a lot of her childhood singing in Italian as a result of spending time with her Italian grandparents. Rachael can sing in Italian, French and Spanish. She can also play the piano, flute and has sung in multiple choirs. Rachael has always had music around her growing up as a child and found she related to music because she is 90% legally blind. She would love to inspire people and bring joy through music. Rachael wants to show everyone that she's capable of doing anything she wants in life. She wants to be known as a singer who happens to be blind, not the blind singer.
