Xlibris Shelf by Kasper Eistrup for Sibast. The concept at the core of Xlibris has been germinating and evolving in Kasper Eistrup's mind for nearly four years. Originally sparked by the artist's personal need for a studio shelf and later fueled by his disdain for conventional shelf brackets, this idea blossomed into a collaboration with Sibast Furniture. Together, they crafted two versatile pieces of furniture: a wall-mounted, self-supporting shelf, and a corresponding table. The Xlibris shelf features an ultra-sleek profile, drawing inspiration from Japanese origami art and purposefully eschewing the use of brackets. Despite its outward simplicity, Xlibris is intricately crafted with many practical details and concealed screws.
