Sometimes a specimen simply stands out as different, and for me this is one of those. Ordinarily a Siderite-Quartz combination might not get your pulse racing, but it is the way th e Siderite has crystallized on this piece that makes it stand out. The matrix is a cabinet-sized plate of well-formed pyramidally terminated Quartz crystals but the way the 'balls' of crystallized Siderite sit, perched upon the Quartz crystals is beautiful.
