The "BST" (Boost) designation indicates its key differentiating capability: it can boost battery voltage up to the start-up voltage required by the Sigen C&I Hybrid Inverter, allowing the system to start from battery alone — without relying on the PV array to initiate the boot sequence. This is essential for systems with PV (all solar-plus-storage installations) and for smaller stacks below the 19-module threshold where battery voltage alone may not reach inverter start-up levels.
