This is Signal 1010. What Is It? The orange field with a black square and circle is the internationally recognized maritime signal for a vessel in distress. We've adapted it into a series of prints as a way for people who recognize the danger we're in to find each other, mark safe space, and signal solidarity. We protect us. We save us. Inspired by our love of woodcuts and dark thoughts about a society increasingly under surveillance, this Signal calls on us to turn the Pinkerton eye right back on itself.
