Silene vulgaris This easy perennial herb is loaded with tall, wispy stems topped with small sage green lanterns with a delicate blush. White starburst petals emerge and then fade, while the glowing pods remain. Adds a airy, unique sparkle to bouquets that can't be beat! Silene self-seeds readily, and can eventually become weedy if left to it's own devices! I always plan to spend a few minutes each spring clearing out new sprouts around my patch and find it responds politely with not much effort.
