Silicone sponge extrusions provide the performance characteristics of silicone rubber in a lightweight, compressible sponge form — ideal for sealing, cushioning and thermal applica tions where flexibility and temperature resistance matter. Available Sections & Profiles Tubes Seals ‘U’ sections ‘T’ sections ‘e’ sections ‘D’ sections ‘P’ sections Sponge strip can also be extruded or slit from sheet for simple widths and thicknesses. Standard Densities Four standard grades are held/available, with typical apparent densities: Grade Imperial (lb/ft³) Metric (kg/m³) SIL10 10 ≈200 SIL16 16 ≈250 SIL24 24 ≈400 SIL33 33 ≈550 Intermediate densities and special grades can be produced to suit your application. Material Options High temperature grades up to 270 °C Metal-detectable sponge (typically grey) FDA compliant: SIL20 FDA platinum-cured sponge (conforms to FDA 177.2600 and EC 1935/2004) Wide choice of colours Contact us for technical data sheets and colour availability.
