Silvaner is Franken's grape, and Andi Weigand's is a good argument for taking it seriously. He works ten Naturland-certified hectares at Iphofen, farmed organically and biodynamica lly, with the old vines here doing most of the talking. Naturally fermented and left a long time on its lees, which is where the weight comes from, then bottled without fining or filtration and with no added sulphur.
