Suitable for absolute novices to those with some jewellery making/silversmithing skills. Come along to the Jewellery making Studio at No.2 Old Swan Yard, sit down at your own personal jewellers’ bench and make yourself a beautiful silver pierced pendant! You can choose your own design from a number of templates provided on the day, from the simplest of shapes to cut out, to trickier and more intricate shapes, depending on your silversmithing experience and how adventurous you’d like to be with the piecing saw! This class includes use of all tools, tuition and guidance and the materials needed to make a pierced pendant including a silver chain (choice of 16”, 18” or 20”). Any extra materials used or required can be organised in advance or will be chargeable on the day at £3 per gram of silver. Skills learnt: Sawing, filing, texturing, soldering, finishing. The important stuff: Please arrive 15 mins before the workshop in order for the us to start the workshop on time and for you to go away with a beautifully finished piece of jewellery Tea, coffee and biscuits are included on the day Aprons will be provided Please bring your own water bottle for your bench Do wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty Don't wear any loose fitting clothing Do have something to tie long hair back with You must enjoy yourself 😊!
